Jerry Garcia Signed Limited Edition Offset Lithograph Lizard Board 447/500
Description
This is a limited edition offset lithograph titled Lizard Board by the American artist Jerry Garcia. Frame measures 28 3/4 inches by 27 1/4 inches, lithograph measures 26 by 24 1/2 inches. The composition is a vibrant abstract work featuring architectural and geometric forms rendered in a palette of teal, burgundy, pink, and ochre. The print is hand-numbered 447/500 in pencil at the lower left and titled Lizard Board in pencil at the lower center. A hand-written signature in pencil reading JGarcia is located at the lower right. Adjacent to the signature is a blind-stamped embossed mark of a stylized fish. Additionally, a printed signature JGarcia is visible within the image matrix at the lower right corner. The print is professionally housed in a black wooden frame with a multi-layered mat. The reverse of the frame features an adhesive-secured Certificate of Authenticity from THE ART PEDDLER. The certificate identifies the work as a limited edition offset lithograph printed on Roberre White Paper by Toppan, Tokyo, Japan. It specifies a limited edition of 500 signed and numbered prints and 50 artist proofs, noting that the plate was destroyed after completion. The document bears a copyright date reading TM & 1996 J Garcia.
