Decorative whaling style harpoon, likely late 20th century. The piece features a slender blackened metal head with a single curved barb mounted to a natural wood shaft with a high-gloss finish. Three black bands reinforce the shaft and secure a length of twisted natural fiber rope terminating in a large handle loop. Measures 49 inches long
