Description
Contemporary set of cast bronze-alloy ritual wine vessels in the archaic jue form, modeled after Shang and Zhou dynasty originals. The collection includes two larger and two smaller vessels featuring varied surface treatments including a dark brown-black patina with simulated encrustations and a mottled green verdigris finish. Each piece is designed with tripod blade-like legs, a flared rim with pouring spout and capped posts, and low-relief decoration depicting stylized taotie masks and geometric scrolls. No maker marks or reign marks are visible on the surfaces. Tallest measures 11” x 9 x 5”. The smaller vessels are approximately 5 inches tall. The other measures approximately 9 inches tall.
