Description
This comprehensive dinner service is from the Franciscan Masterpiece China line in the Overture pattern, manufactured by Interpace in the United States. The collection is crafted from cream-toned fine china featuring a delicate charcoal-gray transfer-printed border of floral and leafy vine garlands. Each piece is accented with platinum trim on the rims, handles, and lid finials. The service includes a variety of forms, such as round plates and bowls alongside faceted octagonal serving pieces. The set consists of dinner plates, salad plates, bread and butter plates, rimmed soup or pasta bowls, tea and coffee cups with matching saucers, a lidded teapot or coffeepot, a lidded sugar bowl, a creamer, and several large and individual octagonal serving bowls. The underside of the pieces bears a gold-tone backstamp featuring a stylized capital F within an oval frame, inscribed with Franciscan Masterpiece China, Overture, Interpace, and Made in U.S.A.
