Description
Decorative copper fish sculpture in the American folk art style of a 19th-century weather vane, likely 20th century. The hollow-form body is crafted from two joined copper sheets featuring repoussé scale patterns and linear ribbing on the fins, finished in a dark reddish-brown patina. The figure is mounted on a vertical metal rod set into a stepped rectangular wooden base with a natural finish. Fish measures 25 inches long by 9 inches tall by 3 inches wide, on the stand it measures 14 inches tall, base measures 15 x 6 inches
