Erte Temptress Pencil Signed Artist Proof Color Lithograph
Description
A color lithograph on paper titled Temptress by Erte (Romain de Tirtoff). The work is a stylized Art Deco fashion illustration depicting a woman in profile wearing an elaborate tiered, feathered headdress, a floor-length patterned cloak, and high-heeled shoes. The central image is enclosed within a rectangular border composed of a repeating dot and scallop motif. The print is hand-signed in pencil in the upper right margin with a stylized script reading Erte. In the lower right margin, it is hand-numbered in pencil as an artist proof, reading AP 59/60. A white adhesive label on the reverse brown paper backing is typed in blue ink with the text: ERTE, 36181.101, 36181.1****, TEMPTRESS, LITHO IN COLOR, PENCIL SIGNED, A.P., ROMAN N. The piece is presented in a multi-layered mat with cream and silver-toned window edges, housed under glass in a black finished frame featuring brass-toned corner accents.
